Curated guide

Why this version

This entry is the Game Boy Simplified Chinese release, useful if you want to confirm the platform and interface language before starting.

How to approach it

Expect short, reflex-driven runs. A gamepad helps with precise input, and it is worth learning enemy patterns stage by stage rather than rushing to the end.

Sources Konami: Contra

This Game Boy Contra title condenses the series' run-and-gun design into handheld stages that mix side-scrolling and overhead sections. Weapon pickups matter considerably, and a single hit ends a life, so pattern learning is essential.
