Game description

An enhanced build that swaps the original sequenced soundtrack for streamed audio, otherwise unchanged.

Curated guide

Why this version

MSU-1 builds need a compatible emulator and extra audio data. If music does not play in the browser, the game itself still runs as the standard version.

How to approach it

Progress in chunks in the browser: clear one dungeon or story beat, then save in-game before closing the tab. Avoid clearing site data, which removes local save files.

Sources Zelda Wiki

This MSU-1 edition of A Link to the Past replaces the Super Nintendo's sequenced music with streamed audio tracks while leaving gameplay untouched. The overworld, dungeon order and item progression match the original release.
