Game description

A well-known unofficial Famicom demake that compresses the PlayStation game onto 8-bit hardware.

Curated guide

Why this version

This is an unlicensed demake, not an official Square release. Expect condensed story sections, simplified battle systems and occasional translation gaps.

How to approach it

Progress in chunks in the browser: clear one dungeon or story beat, then save in-game before closing the tab. Avoid clearing site data, which removes local save files.

Sources Final Fantasy Wiki

This is an unofficial Famicom conversion of Final Fantasy VII, reworking the PlayStation game's story and battles for 8-bit hardware. It is a curiosity rather than a faithful port, with simplified systems and heavily reduced presentation.
